Baker (from Austin, TX) is a mind and eye melting trip into an infinite fractal universe synthesized through basic feedback techniques which have been developed into highly refined, custom tools. DVD also contains Scarf Cluster a collection of hilarious and beautiful shorts made collaboratively at Jorge and Paul?s former studio in Fort Worth, Texas, under the influence of hilarity and mostly broken television equipment and sound synthesizers.

New, self-released cd-r features a one hour and four minute long piece consisting of layers of viola and electronics, deposited one by one in a helical form. The result is an order nested within a chaos than is itself a chaos that depends on an order fueled by chaos. Unlike perfect laboratory crystals, yet metaphorically resembling the aspects crystals take in nature, the sound is strained, stretched to its limits, and in the process of turning into, or combining with something else. Release from Mexican label Dolor del Estamago features extensive remixing and reconstructive surgery waged upon an original composition by Jorge Boehringer entitled ?The Sunshine of Your Love?. This piece, originally written for Trumpet, Clarinet, Sax, and Cello, was performed in the summer of 2006 at the Maybeck Studio in Berkeley, California. Surgery took place later at Fort Crap in Oakland.

When We Go, released concurrently with The Charmed and Strange document much of Jorge?s compositional activity following his trip to Japan in 2003-2004. These recordings contain an early version of his orchestral piece TZero as well as the earliest versions of the solo project that became Core of the Coalman. Viola and digital electronic processing form textures that at turns more glacially with crystaline symmetry or wash over one with restless surging force, with voices.

Recordings circa 2003 of pieces based on the study of tidal force and patterns. Attempting to communicate intuitive discoveries involved with matters of the environment, the mind and the heart, an algebraic morphology of form erupted as if forged from heat in the center of the earth-heart. As a result, and as the result of places like Point Reyes and people like Megan Clark, this research found its form in a function which attempts to communicate these ideas through emotion and structure. The tracks on this record take diverse surface aspects but share a common formal lattice that merely expands and contracts in time proportionally. Between the various facets is there a discernable such ness or is it all a matter of perspective?
